On November 8, BASD students had off for Election Day and our friends at the Bethlehem YMCA told us there would be a lot of students there that day. What better day to show up with our new book bike! Library Board President Anne Felker did the honors of pedaling the bicycle down Broad St. It was packed full of books to give away. Good thing she’s an avid cyclist! Joining her were husband Don Kelly, and library director Josh Berk. There were lots of kids in attendance indeed, and they were all happy to receive some books to enjoy on their day off. Some of the staff from the Y took a spin on the bike as well. Everyone had a great time. Thanks again to the Iron Pigs Foundation for their donation of this book bike! Look for it on the road in your neighborhood soon.
