Earlier this month, the Spring Challenge Competition was held at Easton High School. This competition is like the Olympics for young readers! Each team needs to be familiar with the books on a lengthy reading list and they complete against one another to answer questions related to the book. It’s like a quiz show for the well-read!
We are proud to report that Bethlehem’s teams had an excellent showing — Nitschmann Middle School’s team “Al Capone’s Laundry Company” placed first! Other local teams with excellent showings included Pages to Go, The Tesseracts, East Hills Page Turners, Broughal Middle School Southside Readers, Lehigh Valley Academy Jaguars, and Northeast Middle School. Way to read, kids! Your BAPL librarians are so proud of you!
