“Beyond the Stacks” is back! Your favorite BAPL podcast has a new episode where I (Josh Berk) interview writer/editor/runner Heather Mayer Irvine. She is the author of the new Runner’s World Vegetarian Cookbook, and will be speaking about it at the library on December 5th at 6:30. The name of that talk is 5 Ways to Eat Better (No Dieting!) <– follow the link there to reserve your spot!
And check out the link below to listen to the podcast. We talk about writing a cookbook — is it as fun as it sounds?? (Yes, but also a lot of work.) We also talk about running — is Heather good at running?? (Yes, her personal best in the mile is 5:33 whereas I recently got smoked in the Turkey Trot by a very small child.) We also talk about the controversy (ooh, controversy!) of being an athlete and a vegetarian and somehow I volunteer to bake cookies.
So listen up, go buy the book (Moravian Book Shop and also Aardvark Sports Shop are selling them), and check out the other places Heather will be in the upcoming days, signing books:
- December 5, 6:30, Bethlehem Area Public Library
- December 8, 3pm at the Book & Puppet outpost at the Easton Public Market
- December 15, 1-3pm Moravian Book Shop
