Online Library Card Application/Renewal
Use the below form to apply for an online resource card or renew your existing card. Have questions? Email circ@bapl.org
If you’re a resident of Bethlehem City, Bethlehem Township, Fountain Hill or Hanover Township (Northampton Co.) fill out the form below and we will mail you a library card which you can use to check out e-books, audio books, and online magazines, and access all other BAPL eResources, as well as place holds on physical media for grab-and-go pickup. Please allow two business days for us to process the request.
If you are living outside of BAPL’s borrowing area, you may be eligible for a card through the Access Pennsylvania program. To apply for an Access card, use the form below and then come to the Main Library to pick up your card. You must bring photo ID and your valid home library card at that time.
Children under 15 years old: You are eligible for this service, but please have your parent sign you up by filling in the application with their information. Parents, please include your name and driver’s license number in the comments section.

- Apply for an Online Resource Library card
The barcode we will send can only be used for accessing our Online Resources, such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, online magazines, and other online offerings.
- Renew your expired or expiring BAPL library card
Each year we renew/update your library card. Please note that all fees must be paid before the card can be renewed. You may pay any outstanding fees and check your account by logging into your library account online. Please fill out the application below, in most cases your card will be renewed within 72 hours, except holidays and special closed days. We will contact you via email if more information is needed.
PLEASE NOTE: To activate a Renewed Library card or Online Resource Card for borrowing of Books, Music CDs and DVDs, please bring your BAPL library card, valid Home library card if you live outside of our borrowing area, and Photo ID with proof of name and correct address to any of our branches. A parent with the required ID is acceptable for resident patrons under 18 years of age. There may be a $1.00 charge for a lost BAPL library card.
