Sew Fun (Grades 6-12) 3/1, 2:30pm Main Library, Youth Services Sewing is so much fun at BAPL. Start with a stitch, end with your own uglydoll! No registration is required. All supplies are provided. HerStory Awards Ceremony 3/1, 2:00pm Main Library Join us for the second annual HerStory Awards Ceremony held at the Main Library from 2-4PM. Enjoy a delicious luncheon, awards, songs of hope, spoken word, and a wonderful celebration of incredible women! All are welcome. Free. Community Iftar: A Ramadan Gathering 3/5, 5:00pm Main Library Join the Lehigh Dialogue Center for a free Iftar Ramadan Program at the library! Connect, learn, and share a meal as we explore the significance of Ramadan. Enjoy icebreaker questions, a brief presentation, a warm iftar dinner, and a fun raffle. All are welcome—please register in advance! Family Story and Art: Georgia O’Keefe (Best for Ages 4+) 3/8, 11:00am Main Library, Youth Services Come for a reading of the story Georgia in Hawaii about artist Georgia O’Keefe, followed by an O’Keefe-inspired art activity! Compassion Resilience: Taking Care of Ourselves While Taking Care of Others 3/8, 2:15pm BAPL Coolidge Presented by Resilient Lehigh Valley, this interactive workshop will provide support and resources to help caregivers and individuals build and maintain a culture of well-being and compassion. Registration is required. World Stories Youth Services, Main Library 3/15, 10:30am Listen to a story read in both English and the featured language by Moravian University Modern Language and Literatures Department. Learn about a different world language and culture each session. Located in the Youth Services Department on the 2nd Floor of the Main Library. For Ages 3+ Cruise Into Kindergarten 🚀 3/18, 2:00pm Main Library, Youth Services Play school to get ready for the real thing! For ages 3-6.This fun event is held from 2-3pm on March 18. Smooth sailing into school success! Money Matters: Financial Workshop for Grades 4+ Main Library, Youth Services 3/22, 2:30PM Learn the basics about saving, budgeting, investing, and more. Presented by Moravian Academy Students. Virtual Film Club Zoom3/18, 7:00PM This month’s film is Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (1963). Registration is required. Zoom invites will be sent out via email. A French Treat: A French Language Learning Program Main Library 3/18 & 3/25, 12-1:00PM This French language learning three- week course, taught by Susanne Lanzl-Lalande is designed for beginners. Attendance at all three sessions is expected. Registration is required. March Book Sale Main Library 3/19 & 3/22 Check out the best book sale in town! Wednesday 3/19 from 12-8 then Saturday 3/22 from 10-4. We have thousands of books at great prices as well as movies, music, and fun surprises. Mary Pat Beebe Book Club 3/7, 10:00AM Looking for a fun and engaging book group? Want to read some interesting and thought-provoking literature? Join us each month on Zoom as we discuss recent award-winning novels in this book group that has been meeting for over twenty years. Registration is required. Taste and Tell: A Library Cookbook Book Club 3/4, 6:00pm Connect with fellow food lovers in our monthly Cookbook Club, led by Chef Melanie Lino of From Lino.
