Holiday Season Gifts & Donations
Libraries are essential to communities because they provide free education and resources to the public. The Bethlehem Area Public Library has been giving all library users a place to connect with friends, meet new people, expand their learning, and practice their skills and talents. Since 1901, we have planned and hosted events for outreach programs, youth services, and more in order to educate, inform, and inspire its patrons. However, BAPL’s resources continue to dwindle down as the year progresses. Serving the community comes with expenses and a limited budget. The library relies heavily on your generosity! We ask that this holiday season you help us carry out our mission with one of the following gifts or donations:
- $15 gift cards to stores in our area that would appeal to children and teens. These would be used as prizes for the summer drawing for participants in our summer program. Some examples include Five Below, Wawa, McDonald’s, Burger King, Little Caesars, Starbucks, or similar venues.
- $25 gift cards to local businesses for prizes for library events
- Crayola crayons and washable markers (thicker) for use in programs
- Sturdy electric pencil sharpener
- Dollar Tree gift cards for staff to use in purchasing arts and craft supplies
- Recently published (within five years) children’s books
- Yarn and knitting supplies such as hooks, needles, for our Fiber Arts and Friends club
Any of these gifts or donations would be a huge help for us at BAPL, including the community members who will later use or receive these items. We appreciate your generosity and support! Thank you!
