The Bethlehem Globe-Times worked hard to keep loved ones on the Homefront up to date with events on the Frontlines. Local soldiers were often mailed copies of the paper by their families at home, and the paper worked just as hard to keep the troops on the Frontlines informed of events on the Homefront and in good spirits.
Many articles are light in nature, highlighting neighbors and friends who found it was a small world indeed when they crossed paths while abroad. Other articles focused on local heroes who rose to the occasion or were lost too soon, or who returned home against unimaginable odds.
A few of those men and women are chronicled here in articles from the WWII database.
