Senator Boscola’s message is below:

Hello,

I wanted to take this opportunity to inform you that this coming Wednesday, August 14, 2013 starting at 11:00 AM my summer interns will be presenting their issue-based research projects for the public at the Bethlehem Area Public Library located at 11 W. Church Street in downtown Bethlehem. The public is encouraged to attend, soak up the information and even ask my interns questions about their findings.
My interns, high school through college students, have worked hard over this summer to research issues and topics that are of great interest to them and our Lehigh Valley community. Presenting their findings and research to our area residents at the library is a great educational opportunity for them and the community overall.

A few of the topics that will be discussed: Marcellus Shale drilling, jobs and our local economy, transportation issues including road construction, use of DNA in law enforcement, economic benefits of hunting, and more.

Partnering with the Bethlehem Area Public Library has provided yet another avenue for my interns to learn more about state government and public policy. Those who attend will have an opportunity to see first-hand what bright young talent we have here in the Lehigh Valley. Hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
Lisa
