Snowman_2The streets are still not good around the Branch and parking is non-existent, so we will not open. The Main Library is open. But don’t worry about returning your materials to either location today. We’ve changed the due dates to tomorrow.

The Bethlehem Area Public Library South Side Branch is closed on Saturday, January 23, 2016 due to the SNOW!

The computer class that was scheduled for today, will be rescheduled.  The patrons signed up for this class will be notified of the new date.

Create something artistic with your child

paint tubeLearn with your child by working together on exciting art projects. As part of PBS 39’s early childhood educational initiative that combines science, technology, engineering, art and math activities to engage young children, the Create with Me art-based program will be held at  Library for children ages 2 to 8 with an adult. The Saturday classes begin January 16 at the South Side Branch at noon and will be held alternate months at the Main Library on February 20, April 16 and June 18. Additional classes at the Branch are scheduled for  March 19 and May 21. The free classes are part of the public radio station’s Full STEAM Ahead program to expose children to the arts and provide educational resources through community partnerships. Come to one or all!

Computer instruction- small class size

computerstationBecome more comfortable with technology at free classes held at the South Side Branch with small class, bilingual instruction for computer novices on Saturday, January 9 at 1 pm. Basic computer skills and an introduction to Windows will be taught.
