Today is the beginning of the Book Fair Week at Barnes & Noble. Through Sunday, if you mention the Library or even better, bring a voucher that we are handing out at all of our locations, the Library will receive 10-20% of each purchase. We benefit from music, movie and food sales, (only at the cafe at Bethlehem Twp. store near Freemansburg Ave. & Rt. 33) too!
To encourage your participation, we have activities planned each day at the Bethlehem Twp. store. Tonight from 6-8 PM is the inauguration of Bethlehem Stories. Record your memories of growing up, going to school, raising a family or working in Bethlehem (or nearby). The Library will archive these recollections!
If you don’t have a voucher yet, we will hand them out during our events at the store each day. For the full schedule, click here…

Is it forgetfulness or is it Alzheimer’s disease? Dr. Lorraine Spikol will be giving a presentation on the causes of and treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia and the best ways to maintain brain fitness at the Main Library on Tuesday, February 18 at 6 p.m. in the 2nd floor Laros Meeting Room.
Dr. Spikol is the head of neuroscience research at Lehigh Valley Hospital and has been on staff since 1991. The program will include a question and answer portion for caregivers and adults concerned about the nuances of the disease.
And you may park in the garage on Saturdays, despite what the signs say! Just don’t park near the police vehicles. The book drop at the Main Library is open also. The South Side Branch’s book drop is only open when the branch is closed.
And for those attending this afternoon’s reception, we are expecting you!
