iStock_000013538097LargeWhat activity do teens excel? Snacking, of course. Participate in Olympic-style events at the South Side Branch on Tuesday, June 21 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm. Stacking Oreos, chocolate relays, and candy trivia are just a few of the food-related activities for teens entering grades 6 to 12. Registration is required for all Branch programs. More here

banjo steveWEB_5X7Grammy-winning Singer Steve Pullara of Cool Beans fame kicks off the Family Fun Nights this summer at the Main Library on Tuesday, June 21 at 6:30 pm. His goofy antics and catchy tunes will entertain the whole family. No registration is required for this performance. He will also appear at the South Side Branch on Tuesday, June 28 at 6:30 pm. Congratulations to this week’s Summer Reading Club winners! First prize recipient, Crystal G won a three-month membership to Steel Fitness and second prize goes to Amy G, two baseball tickets to Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. Next Monday, June 20, we will give away a ladies bike helmet from Bike Line of Bethlehem and pizza from Anna Bella Ristorante.

Disney artist to lead workshops

Celebrate 100 trees just planted in Bethlehem

dreamstime_xs_13483739We are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the unification of Bethlehem’s neighborhoods and the 100 trees that were just planted in city parks. Come to the Main Library for stories, songs and a simple art project on Monday, June 20. Bring a picnic lunch and a blanket and meet in the shade on the west side of the library near the Tea House at noon. More here

Class time will focus on conversational phrases and discussion of the cultural and traditions of Japan.  All levels of adult learners will be welcome, and the exact content will be determined by the abilities and interests of regular attendees.
