Local History Collection Finding Aids
The following Finding Aids have been compiled for local history collections housed in the Bethlehem Room. They provide detailed information about the scope and content of the collection materials and also serve as guide for location within the archives.
Bach Choir Collection, 1900-2000 consists of annual festival programs between 1900 and 2000, special events programs between 1915 and 1951, and publicity items including newspaper clipping scrapbooks and articles for America's oldest Bach Choir, formed in 1898.
The Papers of Catherine L. Barlieb 1934-1968 contain detailed accounts of "Bird Lady" Barlieb's bird watching walks around the city of Bethlehem chronicling 210 species of birds, and work with the Junior Audubon Clubs that she organized.
Records of the Current Events Club, 1897-2006 represent the social consciousness and intellectual awareness of this Bethlehem women's club aiming to share knowledge on such topics as literature, art, science, religion, and politics.
Grand Opera House Programs Collection, 1901-1902 consists of 64 programs (some in duplicate) for South Bethlehem's Grand Opera House performances during the 1901-1902 season.
